Dear inspirations 

The British love tea and they love siting next to each other eating an talking. Verses sitting across from each other it's better to sit across of you ask me but who am I at this point? My hump day was pretty chill we went to Selfridges co and to a Thai resturant. To me Selfridges is the Galleria to the power of three. Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Christian louboutins, neddle and thread, dolce you know all the labels they love. 

We went to Elephants castle it had small boutiques and stores in it. 

I bought a lil something and a few keychains. 

Short thoughts today.

Dear Inspirations 

My first night in London and I honestly can't sleep. Not because I'm excited but because my mind is rambling. Between chatting with friends and thinking of better ways to brand myself I can't seem to close my eyes. 

Anyway today was a light London day. Left the airport checked into the hotel and we went to eat at a small resturant on our street. The food was decent rather cheap if you ask me. 

I took a nap and when I woke up a friend of Wummy's came to visit. 

From my observations so far the people in London seem sad. I haven't seen anyone with a smile literally all straight faces and serious mugs. 

London also has a old look and feel to the place. The weather is about 65 which is a cool breeze compared to Lagos. 

I'm looking forward to tomorrow I will start it off with a jog! 

So many thoughts but I'm calm knowing that this to shall pass. 

I prayed for a few of my friends tonight and I'm still learning how to not internalize things. 

That's where most of my stress comes from.

Lagos to Dubai to London

Dear inspirations 

The first flight from Lagos to Dubai was smooth even though I was in the dreaded middle seat. I watched 3 movies and listen to some music. The last few days I saw 3 signs that made me desperately want to go to Paris. First it was the Kardashians (don't judge me) then it was some movie the kids took a trip and on the plane in Wummy's movie they were in Paris on the exact same bridge. So now I need to go to that bridge and add my lock and throw the key in the lake! I must for my 25th birthday Theme "Jazz takes Paris". 

That was all I really thought about the 7 hours. The food on Emirate has been decent I was impressed. 

We layed over in Dubai for 3 hours the airport was huge! Seriously it's the biggest airport in the world we didn't even take a whole tour because we are going to come back through on the next trip. It felt like airport heaven Chanel, Mac, Burger King, smoking lounge, prayer rooms, Starbucks and a bunch of other things. The time went by so fast i took a few pictures we ate at Burger King and I was trying to upload a picture on Instagram.  We boarded the next flight after security check in. This time out seats were all the way to the back but the plane was a little bigger. I did my normal people watching. The people behind me took a lot of pictures lol. Can you believe Wummy had a digital camera the whole time and didn't tell me! I pray my 2 phones and my ipad have enough memory if not some thing will have to give! 

The girl next to me is from Spain she thought Houston was Spanish. I guess I should have said America. 

Very nice girl or woman she's traveling to London from Australia she works in business management on projects. That's all she said it could mean alot lol but why go into details.

She explained the bus card system to me briefly it's a "oyster card"

I don't know what it is but people always talk to me on the plane. 

Traveling can be very tiring I should have bought some sleeping medicine so I could have been knocked out! 

If you don't stand up for a long time 

your feet swell well mine does even if I take a car road trip. I forgot what it's called. The swelling goes down as soon as you start walking again. 

17 min until we land in London.

Lagos to London

Dear inspirations 

A friend was sleep walking in my dream so I woke up at about 5am. 

It's 11:00 and we are headed to the airport. To London I'm excited just a tad because I've never been there and I love seeing new things. London 8days Dubai 4days then back to Nigeria.  I'm kind of sad that I didn't see grandma before I left. 

When I return from London my time in Nigeria will be almost over. So far everything has been great. 

 Current time 2:47 Lagos 

Smooth check in because of course connections and money means everything. (Ask me about it) 

Flight delayed 1 hour due to weather so we are just hanging out in the lounge eating. 

I felt myself trying to come down with a cold so I took some medicine now I feel extremely tired.

I can't get the lyrics to this song out of my head.

That describes how I want to live my life!

I spoke with my dad and grandpa they are both fine I assume they are probably worried just a little about me but I'm fine in all honesty. 

It's Cher day and I'm not there I feel a little bad about that too but she knows my travel heart! I just hope she is having fun. 

I will keep you updated as the trip goes on!

October 3rd

Dear Inspirations 

It's oct 3rd! I can't believe how fast time is flying bye here. Monday was Nigeria's 53rd Independence Day. There was a parade somewhere that I didn't attend. It's a holiday here so banks were closed and people were off of work. I was driving around the city running errands with Wummy. We went to get our hair done. My head is still hurting from the braids under my sew in. Angel was the stylist and he laid my hair honey! Surprisingly he didn't come off as a gay male. I had KFC while I got my hair done it was good! 

Yesterday was Wales birthday (oct2nd) we went to dinner at the intercontinental hotel with him and about 30 of his friends. The hotel was really nice. They had a buffet style dinner and served us pretty good. As usual people were on their phones it amazes me how our generation is always on their phones.  It also worries me that we might not be enjoying things as much. You know living in the moment and really enjoying the people your with. It's all about pictures and freezing the moment which is nice. If I have a dinner in the beat future I'm picking up phones! Lol. 

After the dinner we went to Soul lounge it was a live band singing and people were dancing a little bit at their seats. Nice atmosphere really chill.  Equivalent to Grooves in Houston. 

We had a great night and Wale seemed happy with the way it all turned out even though he wasn't feeling as well. Wale is wummy's bf and I call them my parents so long as dad was good! 

October has been extremely good to me so far! Today is the start of Scandal! I'm so amped about it! 

Yesterday I created a DearJasmineP Instagram I've been saying I was going to do that for the longest time. Progression over procrastination!

Driving in Lagos

Dear Inspirations 

Driving in Lagos can be crazy! No you don't hear me! There is no speed limit, no one will wait for you or let you over, people running across the street, people selling stuff in the middle of the streets, no one really cares about your blinker and if you think they won't hit you your stupid. It's like nothing I ever seen before people are honking horns, cursing, hanging out the window and driving ROUGH but today I drove! 

I literally had to take my mind out of America and just go! 

Wummy said "why are you letting them over" drive and don't stop for anyone. Pedestrians in the streets and all I was driving and loving every moment. I must confess I was so scared that I would put a dent in the car or something dramatic would happen but we made it! 

I'm official now "I've drove in Lagos streets don't try me"

I can't testify to that at the current moment in my life , jass remember that god has a plan but so does the devil . Pray for renewel of the mind and sport everyday when you wake up . Youngottanstay one step ahead of the devil , he may not be able to get you any where but your mind and cause you to think it was YOU the whole time . Take control of your mind girl , speak life into your self . Have you been constantly in your world daily ? ... You have to jas ... Sometimes the people closest to us have great intentions but  the things they suggest my not be ment for us , you can listen and node doesn't mean you have to do as they say , pray for decrenment .... And make sound choices ... Count your blessings to remind yourself where you started with God and all the things you thought were impossible that he made possible and my the ground shake ..... You are an inspiration girl to your sister ME. Even when you think no one is watching they are , pray for Meade ... God is not the author of confusion but of love joy peace and a sound mind !! , you got this Jas ! I declare it finished today .... You have to walk throughout the storm with God hand and hand there is noway around it ! So go through it and get it together I love you !
